The senior PLC Sydney swimming team won the overall point score at the IGSSA championships for the second year in a row. Special congratulations to Christina Ouzas (Year 7) who was named Equal Junior Champion at the IGGSA Swimming Carnival.
From the IGSSA Swimming Carnival a PLC Sydney team of twenty-two students were selected to compete at the NSWCIS Swimming Championships held on 29April.
At this event PLC achieved outstanding results as Champion Girls School of the Meet, with team members winning 13 CIS Championship events. They were:
- Elly Chen, Kailah Elliott, Zoe Johnson & Brooke Dodson – The Intermediate Freestyle & Medley Relay
- Christina Ouzas, Alexandra McConnell, Eloise Laws, Zoe Johnson, Kailah Elliott & Caitlin Merrett- All Age Relay Record
- Caitlin Merrett – Senior 100 & 200 metres Backstroke
- Kailah Elliott – 16 Years 50 & 100 metres Freestyle
- Zoe Johnson – 15 Years 50 & 100 metres Butterfly Records in both events!!!!
- Catherine Macarounas – 14 Years 100 metres Breaststroke
- Christina Ouzas – 12 Years 50 & 100 metres Butterfly and 100 metres Freestyle
